Barbara Aston joined the ranks of Certified Sage-ing Leaders in October 2021. She was drawn to Sage-ing International as a spirit-centered resource for life-long learning and personal development. Drawing upon her skills and experience serving for over thirty years in higher education, over twenty years as a spiritual director, and roles as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Barbara is excited to give back by walking with others on their Sage-ing journeys. She holds a Bachelor’s in Family Studies, a Master’s in Pastoral Studies, and a Master of Jurisprudence in Indian Law. A citizen of the Wyandotte Nation of Oklahoma, Barbara serves as a Faithkeeper for the Wandat Longhouse. She is committed to exploring Sage-ing through the lens of diverse cultures and working with diverse communities. An experienced facilitator, Barbara enjoys creating new and innovative workshops in response to the interest and needs of others. She resides in Southeastern Idaho (USA) and is open to facilitating in person workshops and/or retreats in the region, however, she is experienced at presenting over Zoom and finds it to be a safe, effective delivery format without borders.
