In 1979 I founded his mental health consulting firm, EASE Inc. It was one of the oldest firms in the west providing management support and personal counseling to troubled employees (an EAP, employee assistance program). EASE employed twelve people just before it was sold in 2010. Terry wrote and published, The Elder Within, Bookpartners. Wilsonville, Oregon. 2001 . His book, Elder: A Spiritual Alternative to Being Elderly, was self published in 2006. When the first of my six children was born, I was impassioned with a concern for the role of expectant fathers. I self-published a handbook (Also of Men Born, 1980, EASE Inc.) and developed classes for other expectant fathers so they could stir in one another the passion of parenting. In 1991 I published my first book Kanaye Nagasawa: a Biography of a Satsuma student. I co authored it with Paul Kadota and published it in Japan. It is a biography of a man who traveled the world seeking first adventure, then success and finally, in the second half of life, liberation. I created a historical novel about him in 2023 entitled Nagasawa: A Samurai in America. My most recent book is The Elder Within: Book Two. Now, at age 86, I am nurturing a more generative elderhood. In 2000 I completed the leader training at the Spiritual Eldering Institute in Boulder, Colorado. In 2001, I became trained as a spiritual director. In 2005 he received a Doctorate in Ministry.
