Who We Are, What We Do

Join our team if you have a passion for lifelong learning and shaping the future offerings and opportunities of Sage-ing International!

The Education Team ensures that Sage-ing International (SI) provides quality and affordable educational programs to SI members, Certified Sage-ing Leaders (CSLs), and the public on subjects related to conscious aging.  The team strives to do this through:

• Supporting SI’s Program Coordinator in the development, planning, and scheduling of educational programs.
• Supporting SI’s Certification Program Coordinator in guiding intern CSLs through the certification process.
• Supporting CSLs beyond their certification through opportunities for Continuing Education, Engagement, and Promotion of their work as CSLs.
• Advancing the Inclusiveness Initiative that welcomes diversity in SI membership and programs.
• Guiding policy decisions about educational programs, tuition, fees, scholarships, and discounts.
• Making recommendations to the Executive Circle and Coordinating Circle regarding budgets, policies, and programs pertaining to education programs

Examples of Projects/initiatives  

• Identifying gifts and interests of CSLs through outreach to CSLs.
• For CSLs and By CSLs series and the Annual CSI Webinar’s update of opportunities for service, involvement, marketing opportunities.  
• Curriculum Updates and on-line resources such as the Multicultural Voices Collection.
• World Wisdom Perspectives and Cultural Traditions Series.

Skills Set/Background – What This Team Brings to the Table

• Experience in designing and delivering courses or seminars
• Experience in training others to deliver courses or seminars
• Experience in educational programming and evaluation
• Rooted in the Age-ing to Sage-ing concepts strongly preferred!
